Please have the following supplies on hand to create your tied fleece blanket:
Sharp scissors OR a rotary blade cutter and mat
A measuring tape or ruler
A table or floor space to do the initial cutting
Pins or large safety pins
Fleece (can be purchased by the yard or in kits from Joann or other fabric store, either online or in person.
o The following measurements: Large adult single blanket requires TWO CUTS 2.5 yards of 54”to 59” wide BLIZARD fleece in complementing colors/patterns. This size is more ideal for homeless who may have to sleep outdoors.
o OR you can purchase a fleece blanket kit at Joann Fabrics. They generally measure 48” x 72” and are a good size for children. Watch for a sale or use a coupon (
