One should try to remove from one’s home any true hametz (breads, cereals, cookies…). Any hametz that remains in your home over Pesah can be set aside in a designated area and sold for the duration of the holiday. A reminder that it is traditional, when selling one’s hametz, to make a donation to “Ma’ot Hittin” (literally, “wheat money”) so that food-vulnerable people may have more easy access to food over the holiday. We encourage you to maintain that custom of tzedakah as you sell your hametz this year. I hereby appoint Rabbi Andy Green as my agent and authorize him to add my name and address to the contract for selling hametz.
